On the first day of school in Jerusalem, Sami meets a new classmate, Adam. Sami smiles and says hello. Adam looks upset because he cannot find his classroom. Sami shows him the way. At the door, their teacher welcomes them. Sami usually greets his friends with a smile. He sometimes shakes hands with people he meets for the first time. Adam thanks Sami and asks to sit beside him. By lunchtime, the two boys are talking about their favourite books. A simple greeting has helped them become friends.
