Paragraph 1: I am applying for a foundation course in environmental design. During a community garden project, I became interested in the way shade changes how people use a place. I hope to learn how to design comfortable shared spaces. Paragraph 2: I study art and maths. I also measured two seating areas and recorded when each received shade. I compared my notes with photographs and presented the findings to the garden team. Paragraph 3: Working with two volunteers helped me practise sharing tasks and checking measurements. When our first plan did not fit the available space, I revised it after feedback. These experiences have prepared me to learn from practical projects on the course.
